Blaze hold Crush to lowest points total ever
SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah's defense ended Colorado receiver Damian Harrell's record streak of touchdown catches with a stunning 51-14 victory in Arena Football on Monday night.
Harrell had TD catches in 78 straight games, but led by defensive back Rashad Floyd's seven tackles, giving him a league-leading 142, the Blaze (7-7) romped.
Utah had allowed 62.4 points a game before its big defensive effort, holding the Crush (8-6) to their lowest points total ever. Colorado also missed clinching a playoff berth.
The Blaze scored 37 straight points to take control. Joe Germaine threw for five touchdowns, completing 20 of 32 passes for 164 yards. Blaze receiver Siaha Burley had three scores on seven receptions.
For Colorado, Willie Quinnie hauled in a game-high 10 catches for 97 yards and got the Crush's only two TDs of the night.
