Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
W: M. Stetter (2-1)
L: D. Bautista (1-2)
The Milwaukee Brewers continue to have their way with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Miller Park.
The Brewers look to complete a series sweep with a ninth consecutive home victory over the Pirates on Sunday afternoon.Prince Fielder singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Milwaukee (48-39) a 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday night for its fourth win in five games."'P' thrives on those situations, game-winners," Brewers manager Ned Yost said. "There was no doubt in my mind that he wasn't going to find a way to get a hit somewhere."The third-place Brewers, who are 3 1/2 games back of NL Central-leading Chicago, are 27-13 at Miller Park, where they've won four in a row and eight of nine. Milwaukee is on the verge of sweeping its third straight home series from Pittsburgh (40-46), which will try to finish .500 on its six-game road trip.Fielder went 2-for-4 and Mike Cameron homered for Milwaukee, which won 9-1 on Friday to open a 10-game homestand after blowing a five-run, ninth-inning lead in a 6-5 loss at Arizona on Thursday to conclude a 5-5 road trip.Fielder is 4-for-9 with two RBIs in the series and hitting .365 with 18 RBIs in 20 games against Pittsburgh at Miller Park. Cameron, meanwhile, is 6-for-13 with two home runs and five RBIs in his last four contests. On Saturday, J.J. Hardy had his 16-game hitting streak snapped after going 0-for-3, but laid down a sacrifice in the ninth."You've got to do whatever you need to do for the team, that comes first," said Hardy, who is hitting .429 (30-for-70) with six homers and 16 homers in his last 17 contests.Jeff Suppan (5-6, 4.30 ERA) looks for his second straight win Sunday after getting plenty of run support his last time out. He allowed five runs and nine hits in five innings of an 8-6 win at Arizona on Tuesday."He got through five innings with the lead, and I'll take that," Yost told the Brewers' official Web site. "He didn't let it get away."The right-hander, who is 1-2 with an 8.53 ERA during his last three games, makes his first 2008 start against Pittsburgh, where he pitched for part of the 2003 season. He is 10-3 with a 3.95 ERA in 18 career starts versus Pittsburgh and has won his last three decisions against the Pirates.Jose Bautista drove in the lone run Saturday for Pittsburgh, which has struggled at the plate in this series after scoring 15 runs in winning the final two games of its series at Cincinnati this week.Bautista has four RBIs over his last four games and is 5-for-15 with a double and three RBIs against Suppan during his career.Zach Duke (4-5, 3.88) tries for the ninth time to record his first road win of 2008 on Sunday. He allowed a run and six hits in five innings of a 6-5, 11-inning win at Cincinnati on Tuesday, leaving him 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in eight starts away from home this season. His last road win came May 27, 2007 against the Reds. The left-hander is 3-3 with a 4.36 ERA in nine starts against the Brewers and 0-3 in five of those at Miller Park.Copyright by STATS LLC and The Associated Press
