The AL West-leading Texas Rangers have lost the last two World Series, but they're having little trouble against the NL during the regular season.

The Rangers look to continue their interleague dominance by completing a sweep of the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night.

Texas (37-26) has won 28 of its last 40 regular-season meetings with NL opponents, including a 6-2 interleague mark this year.

The Rangers have also taken 11 of their last 13 against Arizona, winning 1-0 on Wednesday despite managing just three singles the day after a 9-1 victory in the series opener.

"They out-executed us when it counted," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said.

Craig Gentry got one of those hits, driving in the run in the eighth. The center fielder continues to be one of the biggest surprises for the Rangers, hitting .340 with 15 RBIs after batting .271 in 64 games last year.

He's 10 for 20 while plating five runs in his past six contests.

Josh Hamilton has an eight-game hitting streak, but just a .250 average with one homer in that stretch. He's still batting .335 while leading the majors with 22 homers and 62 RBIs.

Scott Feldman (0-5, 6.39 ERA) wouldn't mind some production from the lineup as he tries to end the longest losing streak of his eight-year career.

The right-hander has posted a 7.40 ERA while losing his last five starts after replacing the injured Neftali Feliz in the rotation. He wouldn't have even been eligible for a victory in four of those outings because he failed to complete five innings.

Feldman showed promise in his latest game, however, allowing three runs -- two earned -- and four hits while striking out a season-high seven in 5 1/3 innings of a 5-2 loss at San Francisco on Saturday.

"It's disappointing we didn't win but I can still take some positives out of it," Feldman told his team's official website. "I think I threw the ball well. It was one of those days where we didn't get many breaks as a team and they were able to scrape a few runs across."

His only start against the Diamondbacks (30-32) came on June 25, 2009, when he allowed three runs in six innings of Texas' 12-inning road victory.

Arizona turns to Daniel Hudson (2-1, 6.06), who is trying to rebound from the shortest -- and possibly worst -- start of his four-year career in his first meeting with Texas.

The right-hander was pulled with two outs in the second inning after surrendering six runs and eight hits to Oakland on Friday. That was a dramatic difference from his previous outing six days prior, when he yielded two runs in eight innings of a 4-2 win at San Diego.

Hudson didn't get a loss against the Athletics because his teammates rallied for a 9-8 victory, but he still expected to stew over the outing.

"It stinks," Hudson told the Diamondbacks' official website. "We won the game, which is the most important part, but I've never thrown under two innings before in my career, so to just sit around for six days with the off day and think about it is kind of tough.

"I just couldn't make a pitch and get out of it. It is what it is. It's just a bad start and my teammates picked me up."

Hudson is still 3-0 in five interleague starts since joining the Diamondbacks, having posted a 2.25 ERA in four last year.

Arizona hasn't been swept on the road this season.
