After unleashing a home-run barrage, the Milwaukee Brewers are hoping for a similar performance against Wade Miley, who has been susceptible to the long ball.

Getting Carlos Gomez back in the lineup would certainly help their chances.

Milwaukee can clinch its third straight road series victory with another win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night.

The Brewers (43-29) went deep three times in Monday's 7-5 victory, with two coming from Jonathan Lucroy, including his third career grand slam. That go-ahead homer came in the seventh inning on Brad Ziegler's first pitch after Evan Marshall had been ejected for plunking Ryan Braun.

"I'm not about revenge or payback," said Lucroy, batting .417 with six homers and 15 RBIs in his last 15 games. "I'm just about winning the game. It worked out for us."

Aramis Ramirez added his eighth homer of the season a night after Scooter Gennett homered in a 9-3 win in the opener of this four-game set.

Milwaukee, which was won eight of 12, ranks third in the NL with 74 homers and also hit three in an 8-3 victory over Arizona on May 5.

Gomez went deep that day and is second on the team with 12 homers, though he's missed the last two games with a sore hamstring.

Manager Ron Roenicke told the team's official website the injury isn't serious, however, and Gomez said he'll start Wednesday.

Trying to keep the Brewers inside the yard will be Miley (3-6, 4.71 ERA), who was initially slotted to start Tuesday. However, with Bronson Arroyo going to the disabled list, Miley swapped places with Mike Bolsinger, who gave up three runs over 6 1/3 innings after being called up from Triple-A Reno.

Miley is winless in his last six starts, matching a streak from Aug. 12-Sept. 8 for the longest of his career. He allowed four runs and seven hits over five innings in a 5-4, 10-inning defeat at Houston on Thursday.

Three of those runs came on two homers, two starts removed from surrendering four solo shots in a loss to Cincinnati. The 16 homers he's allowed are tied for second-most in the majors.

"He's just got to make different pitches in different situations and keep the ball in the ballpark," manager Kirk Gibson said.

The left-hander has served up six homers in his last three matchups with the Brewers but is 3-1 in four career starts against them. However, he gave up a career-worst eight runs in the one loss, a 10-2 road defeat June 30, 2012, as Braun homered twice. Gomez and Lucroy went deep off Miley in his last game against the Brewers, but he went eight innings to beat them in a 5-3 win July 11.

Gomez is 4 for 12 against him with three extra-base hits.

The Diamondbacks (30-44) have been let down lately by a bullpen which has a 6.41 ERA during the team's 1-6 stretch. Four of Milwaukee's runs Tuesday came against their relievers, a night after Will Harris and J.J. Putz surrendered six runs over a combined 1 1/3 innings.

Looking to send Arizona to its third straight series loss will be Matt Garza (4-4, 4.17), who is 2-0 in his last five starts but cost Milwaukee with his poor defense Friday. He committed two of the Brewers' four errors in a 6-5 loss to Cincinnati as he allowed five runs -- one earned -- in seven innings.

Garza is 1-2 with a 6.21 ERA in six road starts this year, but 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA in five career outings versus Arizona. He gave up three runs in six innings of an 8-3 victory May 5.

Aaron Hill is 14 for 36 against Garza.
