NEW YORK -- The first long drive to left field wound up in the webbing of Endy Chavez's glove as he crashed against the wall.
| Game 7 Breakdown |
|---|
Unsung HeroJeff Suppan. The Cardinals' righty pitched brilliantly, allowing just one run in seven-plus innings. Suppan gave up two hits in the first inning and then held the Mets hitless until he was taken out after issuing a leadoff walk in the bottom of the eighth.
