SAN DIEGO (AP) -- After a brutal stretch of injuries and poor play, the San Diego Padres finally had something to celebrate.

Extra-inning affairs are old news to the Padres. San Diego has played in four games of at least 13 innings this season, becoming the seventh team in MLB history to hit that mark by the end of May.
