Fast Facts
• Joe Blanton, who was 2-for-33 career (regular and postseason) entering his fifth inning at-bat, hit the first World Series homer by a pitcher since 1974. It was only the 15th homer by a pitcher in World Series history.
• Andy Sonnanstine's bases-loaded walk to Pat Burrell was the first he's allowed in two MLB seasons. It was the third bases-loaded walk Burrell had earned, with the first two coming in the regular season.
• Eric Hinske's pinch-hit homer was the second of this series (Eric Bruntlett). It's the first World Series with two pinch-hit HRs since 1975, and only the second World Series all time in which each team hit a pinch-hit homer (1954, Giants-Indians).
• Chase Utley is the third player to score two runs while going hitless in a World Series game with two strikeouts. The others are Dick McAuliffe (1968) and Frankie Frisch (1921).

Game notes
If the Phillies win Monday, it would mark the first time the Series has gone five straight years without reaching a Game 6. The only other four-year stretch without a Game 6 was 1913-16. ... Lenny Dykstra (1993) is the only other Phillies player with a multihomer Series game. ... With 25 postseason homers, the Rays trail only San Francisco (27 in 2002) for most in one postseason.
