MIAMI -- At first, Clayton Kershaw's pitching had teammates sprinting and diving for balls. Then he found a groove and flirted with a no-hitter.
The bid ended with Cody Ross' double leading off the eighth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers settled for a four-hitter to beat the Florida Marlins 12-5 Sunday.The double came on the 112th and final pitch by Kershaw, a career high.Fast Facts
• Clayton Kershaw took a no-hitter into the eighth inning and earned his first road win of the season. Kershaw, 0-3 on the road entering the game, struck out nine and walked four.
• Cody Ross broke up the no-hit bid with a double to lead off the eighth inning and added a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth.
• Juan Pierre and Mark Loretta got to the Marlins' pitching, recording three hits and three RBIs each.

Before the game, Florida selected the contract of OF Alejandro De Aza from Triple-A New Orleans and optioned RHP Carlos Martinez to New Orleans, and RHP Rick VandenHurk (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list. ...
