SAN FRANCISCO -- When Randy Johnson finally stepped to the edge of history at the San Francisco Giants' foggy ballpark with his 299th victory, the 45-year-old left-hander allowed himself to savor the view for just about as long as it took to change out of his uniform.
Fast Facts
• The Yankees reached double-digit hits for the fourth straight game with 15 in the victory.
• Randy Johnson picked up his 299th career victory and is now just one shy of joining Tom Glavine as the only current major leaguers with 300 wins.
• The Giants have won three straight and four of five.
• Chipper Jones went 0-for-4 with a season-high four strikeouts.
