W: K. Gregg (2-1)
L: L. Vizcaino (1-3)
CHICAGO -- Sure looked like Kerry Wood would get the day off in his return to Wrigley Field. His new team, the Cleveland Indians, was up on his old one by seven runs.
But for the second straight day the Cubs put together a four-run rally in the eighth inning that cut the lead to one.Fast Facts
• The Cubs handed the Indians their fourth straight loss and won after falling behind 7-0, a day after they came back from being four down against the White Sox. The seven-run comeback was the Cubs' largest of the season.
• Derrek Lee's solo shot off Kerry Wood in the bottom of the ninth tied the game and was his second homer of the game, 10th of season. It was his 19th career multi-HR game of his career and his first since Sept. 11, 2006, at Atlanta.
• Kerry Wood recorded his third blown save this year, ninth of his two-year career as a closer. It was only the second, however, at Wrigley Field. Five of his six last year came on the road.
• Alfonso Soriano scored the winning run a day after getting the winning hit.
