Yankees recover to beat Rays in 10th, reclaim first place in AL East
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A pitching duel one night, and a slugfest the next. The race for the AL East title is turning into an entertaining show.

• The Yankees regained the AL East lead on Jorge Posada's pinch-hit home run in the 10th. He was 0-10 as a pinch-hitter this season prior to the home run and is the first Yankee to hit a go-ahead pinch-hit HR in extra innings since Matt Nokes in 1993.
• Mariano Rivera reached 30 saves for the 13th time in his career, one shy of Trevor Hoffman's all-time record.
• Greg Golson's first career assist resulted in a game-ending double play when he tagged out Carl Crawford trying to advance after the catch.
• Alex Rodriguez hit his 606th career home run and his 44th against the Rays, the most by anyone against Tampa Bay.
