Game notes
The Cubs placed C Steve Clevenger on the 15-day DL (retroactive to April 26) with a right oblique strain, and recalled C Welington Castillo from Triple-A Iowa. ... Former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins threw out the first pitch, a one-hopper that Rollins picked cleanly. Dawkins retired earlier this week after 16 seasons in the NFL, the first 13 with Philadelphia and last three in Denver. The Eagles announced they will retire his No. 20 in an emotional news conference Saturday morning. ... Phillies LHP Cliff Lee had a catch before the game. Pitching coach Rich Dubee said Lee has to be "pain-free" to throw a bullpen session. Lee is on the DL with a strained left oblique. ... A crowd of 45,196 was the 228th straight sellout at Citizens Bank Park, including postseason play. ... Philadelphia's Ty Wigginton extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a seventh-inning single.
