Research Notes
From Elias: Reds had 14 men left on base through 7 innings without scoring a run.
The last team to be held scoreless through 7 innings despite leaving 14 men on base was:
Senators vs Tigers, on September 14, 1969 (14 left-on-base, 0 runs through 7 innings) |
Chris Young allowed 12 baserunners in Tuesdays game, but did not allow a run.
He is the first starting pitcher this season to have a 12-baserunner, no-run outing, the first since Jair Jurrjens for the Braves against the Cubs last season.
The last Met with such an outing was Bobby Jones against the Braves in 1996. |
