Wilmer Flores is active and in the lineup on Sunday night. Terry Collins said he has not yet told the demoted player about his fate, so the Mets are temporarily withholding that information.

As far as discipline for Noah Syndergaard, Major League Baseball officials appear satisfied that because Syndergaard was ejected for throwing behind Chase Utley -- which already was deemed excessive by the Mets -- no other punishment is warranted. So Syndergaard appears in the clear.

Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann following today's bullpen session: "As of now, I'm on schedule to make my next start, whenever that is. I think I might throw another side on Tuesday, another bullpen on Tuesday, and we'll go from there. Do some stuff off the mound, cover first tomorrow maybe, but I'm feeling good and [I'll] see how I feel I guess." Asked about starting Tuesday, Zimmermann indicated that was never the original plan. Tigers have until Wednesday (10 days) to be able to retroactively place him on the disabled list for the groin injury suffered last Sunday. Team will monitor how he feels tomorrow, but Zimmermann was encouraged: "The big test was today and I came out of it just fine. I'm sure I'll be a little sore, but nothing to be concerned about." --
