David Ortiz last week actually fouled a ball off the same spot on his left foot that was hit by a pitch Saturday in Toronto, but "feels good enough to go" in the series-opener against the Orioles, according to Red Sox manager John Farrell. Ortiz has six homers in his last nine games at Camden Yards.

Mets manager Terry Collins expressed "concern" Monday that David Wright may be headed for the disabled list. Wright is dealing with a neck issue and is out of the lineup for a third straight game on Memorial Day. Wright landing on the DL on Tuesday would open the 25-man roster spot for newly acquired James Loney's activation on Tuesday. Loney is expected to arrive in Queens on Monday. The Mets still will need to make a 40-man roster move to fit Loney, even if Wright is placed on the DL.
