Jay Bruce not in Reds lineup
Bruce's omission is intriguing because he's been the center of trade rumors. Jason Bourgeois fills in for the Reds, who play the Pirates at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Report: Ben Revere traded to Toronto

Dan Haren is just what Cubs seek
He's not Cole Hamels or David Price, but ESPN's Tim Kurkjian still likes the reported move: "Dan Haren's had a good year, he's not going to cost too much and he can fit in the middle of that rotation."
Reports: Marlins sending Haren to Cubs
The Cubs are acquiring RHP Dan Haren from the Marlins, according to ESPN and multiple reports. He is 7-7 with a 3.42 ERA this season and 149-129 with a 3.75 ERA in his career. Miami will get SS Elliott Soto and RHP Ivan Pineyro in return.

The Twins pitcher is on a mission: "My goal today is to break a trade. I've got my ear to the ground," Hughes tweeted this morning. He's been seeking help from fellow reporters because: "Turns out my 'source' only knows where food trucks are gonna be."
