Britton, Orioles reach 1-year deal

Closer Zach Britton and Baltimore have avoided arbitration and agreed to terms on a $6.75M contract. Britton had a 1.92 ERA with 36 saves on 40 opportunities last year.

I'm not so sure the Dodgers trade Andre Ethier. Yes, they have outfield depth but Ethier was productive last year and is a much better bet for 2016 than Carl Crawford while providing a hedge against Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig. Scott Van Slyke and Trayce Thompson, meanwhile, are more right-handed platoon bats than everyday players. It's a logjam but the solution may be just to eat Crawford's money.
