Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman told me pre-game that he was feeling a little sick with cold-like symptoms; stressed he'd be ready to pitch tonight if called upon.

Are Jake Arrieta's control issues becoming a legitimate concern? While he's alternated good outings with some mediocre ones of late, he's walked 19 batters in his past 35 innings, including five tonight in five innings. He finally paid the price, giving up five runs as well.

July 24, 2014 – Last time the Yankees beat the Rangers at home. Lost all 3G in 2015, equaling their longest home losing streak to the Rangers since the team became the Texas Rangers in 1972.

Have a day! Kris Bryant hits his 3rd HR of the game for the 1st time in his career. Anthony Rizzo follows it with a HR of his own.

Of Adam Wainwright's seven previous outings, six had been quality starts. His 0.94 WHIP in June was ninth in the NL. But his roll came to a definitive halt in Kansas City Monday night, when the Royals teed off on him for six runs on eight hits in the first two innings. Wainwright threw 40 pitches in the second inning alone.

When fans heard that the Yankees were turning back to StubHub as their official resale partner, many assumed it would bring back the Print At Home PDF's. But in the announcement today by the Yankees, the team said that mobile ticketing would continue. Team president Randy Levine said that there have been only a few complaints this year from the lack of the Print At Home alternative, mostly from brokers. While the Yankees are the first team to go all mobile, Levine said it is "where everybody soon will be going."

Jake Arrieta has said he wants in on HR derby this year. He's making his case after hitting his second of the season on Monday night against the Reds. It was an opposite field shot and his second hit of the night. He's being overshadowed at the plate by Kris Bryant who has 2 home runs and a double. The Cubs are pouring it on the Reds.

I asked GM Brian Cashman if hot hitting outfield prospect Aaron Judge has put himself on the radar to be called up. Cashman didn't sound as if that was an option in the short term. He praised Judge for his improvement, but refused to list Judge as a guy the Yankees were thinking of calling up. Judge has hit six homers in his last 33 at-bats. He is batting .266 with 15 homers, 45 RBIs and an .837 OPS in 72 Triple-A games.

A standing ovation in DC after the Nats put up a five-spot in the third inning to take a 5-4 lead against Noah Syndergaard, who hadn't allowed more than four runs in a game all season. The Nats have also stolen a season-high five bases already off Thor.
