Oakland A's take the series with a 4-2 win against the Tigers today. Pelfrey falls to 0-5, though the club's sixth-inning demise definitely not all on his shoulders. Ian Kinsler error and Cameron Maybin miscue on Butler's ball to CF supremely costly as well.

Tigers pitcher Mike Pelfrey's day ends with bases loaded and two outs in the sixth inning. Pelfrey, encountering some difficulty in the third time through the A's order, gave up two hits and two walks, but second baseman Ian Kinsler's untimely error also extended the inning, allowed A's to score. 2-1
