Davis, O's bash Braves in Baltimore

Phillies win fifth straight at Toronto

Cody Asche drove in two runs on a game-tying double in the fifth, and Andres Blanco's go-ahead double in the same frame stood as the difference in the Phillies' 3-2 win over the Jays.


White Sox rip Red Sox 9-4 at Fenway

The White Sox rolled to a sixth straight win behind Jose Abreu's and Geovany Soto's six combined RBIs, and Jeff Samardzija's eight strong innings. Melky Cabrera, who went 4-for-5, finished a HR shy of the cycle in extending his multi-hit streak to a career-high six games. Box score


Davis, Birds bash Braves

Chris Davis hammered two HRs in two innings, and Ubaldo Jimenez recovered from a rocky start to toss seven innings of two-run ball in the Orioles' 7-3 win over the Braves. Box score


Marlins beat Nats, end losing skid

In his first game back from the DL, Marlins 2B Dee Gordon went 2-for-3 with a triple in the 4-1 win over the Nationals. Jose Fernandez got the win and improved to 4-0 on the season. Box score


Hosmer's late HR puts Royals up for good

With the game tied 1-1 going into the 9th, 1B Eric Hosmer went deep to right field to put the Royals up 2-1 over the Indians for their fourth victory in a row. It's Cleveland's sixth straight loss. Box score

Reds to give away Pete Rose bobbleheads

The team will honor Charlie Hustle with his first ever bobblehead promotion for the Sept. 12 game against the Cardinals. It will come one day after the 30th anniversary of Rose breaking Ty Cobb's all-time hits record.

Davis records third multi-HR game
