For those on Carmelo Anthony Trade watch: Doc Rivers told reporters Monday that he will not trade Blake Griffin, regardless of any offers that may arise. Griffin-for-Carmelo is one of the most frequently discussed scenarios when a potential Carmelo trade is brought up. Anthony, of course, has a no-trade clause in his contract, which has 3 years remaining.

Larry Bird told the Indianapolis Star that he's unsure if Frank Vogel will return next season. If Vogel is fired, could he be a candidate for the Knicks? It's worth noting that Vogel was an advanced scout for Phil Jackson's Lakers in 2005-06. Here's Vogel heaping praise on Jackson in a 2013 interview: "From the standpoint of studying the NBA game, I was always a big fan of Phil Jackson and his approach," Vogel told Nuvo. "Obviously he had great players, but there were a lot of coaches with great players that didn't win at the level he did. That was a big reason why I hired [Pacers associate head coach] Brian Shaw. He was as close to Phil as anyone could be and I thought I could rely on that experience and it's been awesome."
