I'm not sure if Austin Rivers can see much out of his left eye but he's back on the floor.

The team and Walton have reached an agreement on a multi-year contract for the 36-year-old to become the next head coach of the team. He'll begin his duties at the end of the Warriors' season.

Austin Rivers is back on the court after receiving four stitches above his left eye and seven stitches on the bottom.

Any contact in midair is dangerous but I don't see anything to suggest that Gerald Henderson's foul was flagrant.

Luke Walton tells ESPN. "I loved everything about my time at Golden State and learning from Steve. I'll forever be grateful to him, the organization and the team. But I have always dreamed of being a head coach and the chance to do that for an organization like the Lakers doesn't come around very often."

Billups: Good hire by the Lakers

Chauncey Billups loves the Lakers' choice of Luke Walton as the team's next head coach but recognizes the team needs to improve in free agency to give Walton players to work with.

At the end of the first quarter, the Trail Blazers and Clippers are tied, 24-24. Damian Lillard is the high man for Portland with 14 points, but his teammates are shooting just 4-for-17. The Clippers had been trapping Lillard aggressively through the first five games of the series, but have dropped off in the first quarter of Game 6. The Trail Blazers have racked up a massive advantage on the glass, rebounding almost half of their misses.

Clippers 24, Blazers 24 at the end of the 1st quarter. Not bad considering Doc Rivers might have to play point guard for the Clippers.

With 2:51 left in the first quarter, the Trail Blazers lead 22-17. They're not shooting all that effectively, but they're crushing the Clippers on the offensive glass. They've collected seven of their 12 misses. Damian Lillard leads the way with 12 points.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Even though Phil Jackson discussed the Knicks' opening with Luke Walton, the club was never confident that Walton wanted the job. The only other candidates whom Phil has discussed the job with are interim coach Kurt Rambis and ex-Cavs coach David Blatt.

Deng just relentless moving the ball, and driving close-outs. Surviving Whiteside foul trouble. Kemba was unbelievable. Playoff basketball.
