The San Antonio Spurs weathered the early storm brought on by the Thunder, which led by as many as 13 points in the first quarter. The Spurs head into intermission trailing (56-53). LaMarcus Aldridge has been unreal, connecting on 9 of 11 for 22 points. Aldridge is 7 of 8 for 16 points when posting up, hitting 73.5 percent on such shots thus far in the playoffs.

The Thunder showed a positive response to a second quarter Spurs run to bounce back and lead 56-53 at half. Westbrook ran the show with 18 and 7 assists, with Durant shaking loose for 13. The Thunder talked about showing resolve. It'll be a long second half, but they've at least shown they can hang with the Spurs.

Once up 88-87 with 4:28 to go, Atlanta missed six straight shots, turned the ball over three times and surrendered two key offensive rebounds before scoring a meaningless basket in final 18 seconds. Hawks blew a chance to put pressure on Cavs, coming off eight-day layoff.

Spurs have the depth and versatility on the roster that Pop has an answer for just about anything an opponent throws at his squad.

Thunder led 29-21 after a quarter, a 31-point turnaround from Game 1. But the Spurs open with back-to-back 3s to start the second quarter and suddenly that very good first quarter is nearly wiped out.

OKC leads the Spurs 29-21 at the end of the first quarter. The Thunder appeared to have the perfect opportunity to run off to a big lead in the first quarter, but the Spurs have since stabilized and found somewhat of a comfort level. San Antonio is still shooting just 38.6 percent, and it has been outrebounded 16-7. At one point, OKC led by 13.
