Booker ejected for swipe at Hibbert

Jazz F Trevor Booker (left) was ejected from Tuesday night's preseason game in Honolulu after he took a swing at Lakers C Roy Hibbert (far right). Booker first got into a tangle with Lakers F Julius Randle, and when Hibbert joined the fray, Booker threw a punch that missed. Said Hibbert: "I have everybody's back."

Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had surgery on a torn labrum on his right shoulder suffered Saturday. Typical recovery for this surgery is 6 months. Kidd-Gilchrist averaged 10.9 points and 7.6 rebounds last season.

Scott: I can't see Kobe playing elsewhere

"I can't see it. I mean I can't see it. I really can't," Lakers head coach Byron Scott told USA Today Sports. "I think just like Magic Johnson, even MJ [Michael Jordan], who went to Washington [after two years out of the game at the age of 37], but still when you think of MJ you think of the Chicago Bulls. When I think of Kobe, I don't care what happens, I think everybody will always think of him as a Laker and one of the greatest Lakers to ever play the game."
