What trades, signings should Nuggets make?

Do the Nuggets need to trade Kenneth Faried and Danilo Gallinari and focus on the future, or add free agents for a playoff push? Our NBA Insiders debate the future of the Nuggets.

Nuggets sign hometown talent

Guard Josh Adams from Chaparral High has signed with Denver after being bypassed in last week's NBA draft. Adams played at Wyoming and was an Honorable Mention All-American, breaking the Cowboys' record for career points and averaging 24.7 last season. Denver Post

Are international NBA picks too risky?

Only 16 of the 30 players drafted in the first round were born in the U.S. (fewest since 1973). Eight of them did not play college basketball (T-most, 2003). The 2003 draft had eight such players, who have combined to play in zero All-Star Games.

Ford: Denver is a draft winner

The Nuggets landed three really good shooters and were lucky to get Jamal Murray at No. 7. He can play the 1 and the 2 and will be a good complement to Emmanuel Mudiay, writes Chad Ford. Winners and losers (Insider)

Nuggets get a lights-out shooter

At Kentucky, Jamal Murray made the second-most 3-pointers by a freshman in D-1 history. Only Davidson's Stephen Curry, who was also drafted at No. 7, made more as a freshman.

Beasley selection hints at a possible Nuggets trade (1:09)

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

After the run on stage crashers, Malik Beasley becomes the third consecutive pick out of the green room when he goes 19th to the Nuggets. He's the first player drafted in the first round out of Florida State since Chris Singleton in 2011.

Hernangomez joins Nuggets' crowded frontcourt (1:17)

Chad Ford ESPN Senior Writer

The Nuggets select Florida State's Malik Beasley with the No. 19 pick. He's one of the best shooters in the draft. Stock fell a bit because of a stress fracture. Thought he could've gone lottery if healthy.

Kevin Pelton ESPN Staff Writer

Juan Hernangomez was ranked ninth in my consensus projections. Denver got great value with international bigs Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic in 2014 and may have done so again this year.

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

Juan Hernangomez, whose brother Willy was drafted in the second round last year, was just picked 15th overall by the Nuggets. He's the fourth player selected in the past six picks to come out of the crowd, with eight of the 19 players in the green room still waiting.

Chad Ford ESPN Senior Writer

The Nuggets select Spanish forward Juan Hernangomez at 15. I'm a big fan. @kpelton was even higher on him, putting him at No. 4 in his Grade A mock draft. He's a modern stretch four who played well in Spain this year. Nuggets having a good night so far.

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

Jamal Murray thinks he'll fit in well with current Nuggets point guard Emmanuel Mudiay: "Me and Mudiay, we played in the Hoops Summit together for one year. So I kind of got to see what he's like. He's a great player and he's a great guy. Family person, and we'll be a good team. We'll be working together and playing off each other."

Murray fits well with Mudiay (1:01)

Kevin Pelton ESPN Staff Writer

The Nuggets are the best young team that gets zero hype. I think Jamal Murray could play with either Emmanuel Mudiay or Gary Harris.

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

John Calipari was happy to see Kentucky's Jamal Murray go 7th overall to the Denver Nuggets.
