COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Mike Schachtner scored 18 points and Wisconsin-Green Bay shot 57 percent from the field in beating Delaware State 70-50 on Tuesday night in a regional consolation game of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Value City Arena.
The Phoenix (2-1), who lost 91-68 in the opening round of the region to host Ohio State, trailed early but got hot to shoot 62 percent from the field in the opening half and build a 38-24 lead.
After Roy Bright hit a jumper to open the second half for Delaware State (2-2), Wisconsin-Green Bay ran off the next eight points -- six by Schachtner -- to push the lead to 20. It never dropped below 15 points again.
Ryan Tillema added 14 points for the Phoenix.
Bright had 18 points to lead Delaware State, which was outrebounded 29-21 and shot 40 percent from the field.
