ST. LOUIS -- Go ahead, hate Florida all you want. But you can't beat these Gators. Not in the NCAA Tournament. Not yet, anyway.Inside, outside, early, late -- the Gators find a way to get it done when there's a title at stake.
Florida's 85-77 victory over Oregon sets up a semifinal against UCLA, the team that the Gators defeated in last year's NCAA championship game. Only two other defending national champions have faced the team they defeated for the title in the following year's tournament: Cincinnati won consecutive titles in 1961 and 1962, beating Ohio State in the finals in both years; UNLV defeated Duke in the 1990 title game and was eliminated by the Blue Devils in the 1991 semifinals.
