ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Rod Epps scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers, as Texas-Arlington beat Nicholls State 69-60 Thursday night.

With the win, the Mavericks stayed undefeated at home this season, and extended their home-court win streak to 15 games.

Jermaine Griffin added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Mavericks (11-4, 1-2 Southland Conference).

Ryan Bathis scored a game-high 27 points for the Colonels (6-12, 1-2), including 8 of 17 3-pointers. Anatoly Bose added 16 points off the bench for Nicholls State.

Epps opened the game with a 3-pointer as the Mavericks raced to a 11-2 lead.

Texas-Arlington never trailed in the game, but the Colonels closed the lead to 32-27 at the start of the second half. Two field goals by Rog'er Guignard and a jumper by Cardell Hunter pushed the Mavericks lead to 41-27 and they kept a double-digit lead until the final field goal by the Colonels.

The Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field to only 35 percent for the Colonels.
