DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke watched as Jimmy Baron turned the second half into his personal shootaround. Finally, the Blue Devils put their best player in his face -- just in time to save their long home-court winning streak.
• Duke extended the nation's longest home win streak vs. non-conference opponents to 62 games.
• Jon Scheyer led the Blue Devils with his fourth career 25-point game thanks to a career-high 13 free throws made in 13 attempts.
• Duke improved to 3-0 for the ninth straight season, while Rhode Island has lost 17 straight vs. ranked opponents.
• Rhode Island's Jimmy Baron tied his career-high with eight 3-pointers made, finishing with 24 points. Teammate Delroy James added 21 in the loss.
