MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Spencer Laurie had 15 points Monday night to lead Missouri State past Central Michigan 60-57.
Laurie hit a 3-pointer as time expired in the first half to give the Bears (1-1) a 34-24 lead at the break.
Missouri State led 47-32 with 9:10 left in the game, but the Chippewas (1-1) moved to within 58-57 on a Jeremy Allen 3-pointer with 21 seconds to play. Allen and Jacolby Hardiman each had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but missed 3-point opportunities.
Allen led Central Michigan with 20 points while Robbie Harman had 18 points.
