DeShawn Sims added 18 points for the Wolverines (7-2), who made a school-record 16 3-pointers while coach John Beilein stayed home to recover from the ill effects of an ear infection.
The Eagles (2-7) led for much of the first half, but Michigan closed it on a 17-4 run to take a 44-34 advantage into intermission. Eastern Michigan got as close as eight points early in the second half before the Wolverines pulled away.
Brandon Bowdry had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles, who are 0-7 against Division 1 opponents.
