FARGO, N.D. -- Brett Winkelman scored 24 points and Ben Woodside added 15 as North Dakota State rolled over UMKC 87-49 Thursday in the Summit League.
The Summit League-leading Bison (19-5, 13-1) notched their 11th straight win overall and 13th straight at home. NDSU went on a 29-5 run in the first half to take control, shooting 63 percent to take 44-24 at the half. They shot 60 percent for the game.Winkelman was 10-for-13 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds and had four steals.The UMKC Kangaroos (6-20, 2-11) shot just 26 percent and were outrebounded 46-33 while losing their seventh straight game.Latreze Mushatt led UMKC with 12 points and Dustin Dibble had 10. But they were a combined 8-for-30 from the field.
