IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Evan Turner scored 22 points and dished out nine assists as Ohio State held off Iowa 60-58 Tuesday to snap a three-game road losing streak.
Jon Diebler added 12 points for the Buckeyes (19-9, 9-8 Big Ten), who won their first road game since beating Indiana 93-81 on Jan. 31.
Turner missed a free throw with five seconds left and the Hawkeyes raced down the floor behind 60-58. Iowa's Jermain Davis got a good look at a 3 as time expired, but the ball rimmed out and the Buckeyes survived.
Davis also missed a layup with seven seconds left that would have tied the game.
Devan Bawinkel scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting from 3-point range for Iowa (14-16, 4-13), which lost for the fifth time in six games.
Jake Kelly had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawkeyes.
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
