Butler's free throws help Marquette win close call over Georgetown
MILWAUKEE -- Marquette finally had enough composure to win a close game in the Big East.Jimmy Butler made two free throws with 7.5 seconds left and the Golden Eagles won a tight game for the first time this season, upsetting No. 12 Georgetown 62-59 on Wednesday night.
• Marquette tied a season-high with 12 3s and is 3-1 at home vs. Georgetown since joining the Big East.
• Marquette has played three Big East games this season and all have been decided by three points or fewer.
• Georgetown has lost seven of its last 10 conference road games. Austin Freeman scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Hoyas, one shy of a season-high.
