Turner scores 23 of 32 in second half after Hummel's first-half heroics
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Ohio State's Evan Turner dismantled Purdue's highly respected defense.He scored 23 of his career-high 32 points in the second half, and the Buckeyes rallied from a 13-point deficit to beat No. 6 Purdue 70-66 on Tuesday night.Turner scored 14 of Ohio State's final 18 points. He also had nine rebounds in his third game since missing a month with a fracture in his back.
• After trailing by 12 at the half (41-29), Ohio State pulled off the upset and earned its first road win of the season (1-4).
• The 1-2 punch of Evan Turner (career-high 32 points) and William Buford (19 points) led the way for the Buckeyes.
• The Boilermakers have lost two straight games after starting the season 14-0.
• Robbie Hummel finished with a career-high 35 points (29 in first half) in the loss.
