Louisville puts together late run, beats Syracuse for fifth straight time
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse waited too long to turn up the intensity against Louisville, and the Orange (No. 3 ESPN/USA Today, No. 2 AP) paid for the lapse.
Samardo Samuels scored all eight of his points during a late surge and Jerry Smith sank a pair of clutch free throws with 17.8 seconds left as Louisville rallied past Syracuse 66-60 on Sunday.Losing Propositions
Syracuse has active losing streaks against three Big East teams and still has the chance to end two of them (Louisville, Villanova) later this season.
