COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Kansas coach Bill Self knows his team's win over Texas A&M wasn't pretty. Still, he figures it will help the Jayhawks down the road.Xavier Henry scored 12 points, including several free throws down the stretch, to help top-ranked Kansas escape with a 59-54 win over Texas A&M (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 24 AP) on Monday night.
• Kansas has won 11 straight games -- all Big 12 victories -- and six straight conference road games.
• Texas A&M saw a four-game winning streak and 13-0 mark at home fall by the wayside as it fell to 0-7 all-time against Kansas at home and 1-15 overall vs. the Jayhawks.
• Kansas point guard Sherron Collins scored only seven points, the sixth time this season he has scored in single digits.
• Jayhawks center Cole Aldrich had at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots for the sixth time this season, tied for most such games in the country.

Texas A&M was leading 52-48 with 6:09 left as Bryan Davis went up for a dunk that was blocked by Cole Aldrich. The play was a sign of things to come for A&M; the Aggies did not score another point in the paint and would only manage one more offensive rebound -- after matching a season-high with 19 in the first 34 minutes.
