OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kansas State went over the scouting report and stretched, sat down, then stretched again. As the game before theirs ran into overtime, then a second, the Wildcats weren't sure what to do, the nervousness building with each passing minute. All those upsets and close calls on TV didn't help, either.
• The Wildcats earned their second NCAA tournament win since 1989 thanks to a balanced performance from its stars. Four of the team's five starters scored in double-figures, including Denis Clemente (17 points) and Jacob Pullen (15 points).
• The win is the Wildcats' 10th in their last 13 games.
• The loss ended an 11-game Mean Green win streak. The loss also moved the non-Western Kentucky members of the Sun Belt Conference to 0-13 in NCAA tournament games since 1993.
• The 30.4 percent mark from the field was the lowest for the Mean Green on the season, though Tristan Thompson set a career-high with 28 points in the loss.
