SALT LAKE CITY -- Long after the jump shots stop falling and their ballyhooed beards go gray, Kansas State players will look back on this game as one of the best they ever played.Same for the guys at Xavier, hard as it was to appreciate after a heartbreaker like that.
• In the first double overtime game in the Sweet 16 since Minnesota-Clemson in 1997, the Wildcats advanced to their first Elite Eight since 1988.
• Jacob Pullen had 28 points and Denis Clemente 25. They are averaging 46 points combined in this tournament.
• The 101 points scored are the most for the Wildcats since 2007 and the 197 combined points are the second most in a Sweet 16 game since 1985.
• Jordan Crawford had a career-high with 32 points but Xavier failed to advance to its third Elite Eight.
