EUGENE, Ore. -- Joevan Catron had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Oregon past Portland State 68-49 Sunday night.
Garrett Sim scored 14 points and Jay-R Strowbridge added 11 for the Ducks (5-3), who closed out the game on a 24-8 run after the Vikings had pulled to within 44-41 on a 3-pointer by Melvin Jones with 10:04 to play.
But that was the last field goal of the game for Portland State (4-2), which missed its final 10 shots.
Chris Harriel had 12 points and nine rebounds to pace the Vikings, who shot just 29.6 percent from the field and were only 3 of 16 from 3-point range.
