PHILADELPHIA -- Kevin Anderson scored 22 points and Richmond used a big second-half run to pull away from Saint Joseph's (Pa.) 69-54 on Wednesday night.
The Spiders (23-7, 12-3 Atlantic 10 Conference) led 40-39 with 10:20 left to play before going on a 29-13 run to take a 69-52 lead with 1:49 to go. Richmond shot 5 for 5 from beyond the arc during that run.
The Hawks (8-21, 3-12) shot 4 for 13 from the field over the final 10 minutes and finished 3 of 16 from 3-point range (18.8 percent) overall.
Richmond led 20-19 at halftime and outscored the Hawks 49-35 in the second half.
