HOUSTON -- Chris Crawford scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Joe Jackson added 16 off the bench as hot-shooting Memphis rolled to its sixth straight win Saturday, 89-55 over Houston.
Will Barton had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Tigers (12-5, 3-0 Conference USA), and Tarik Black chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots. Memphis was 34 of 61 (56 percent) from the field.Alandise Harris led the Cougars (9-8, 1-3) with 18 points, and Jonathon Simmons added 16. Houston shot just 34 percent (19 of 56) in losing its third straight.Memphis dominated from the outset, opening the game on a 12-4 run. Houston pulled to 13-9 after Harris hit two free throws 11:50 before halftime, but that set off another big Memphis run.Houston got within 47-39 five minutes after halftime, but the Tigers put the game away with an 18-0 run.
