CHICAGO -- Ben Averkamp scored 15 points and added nine rebounds Friday night for Loyola of Chicago and the Ramblers went on to defeat visiting Toledo 62-50 in the season opener for both squads.

Joe Crisman added 10 points and four rebounds while Jordan Hicks had nine points and six rebounds. Hicks' dunk with 4:46 to play gave the Ramblers their biggest lead of the night at 62-40, but a 3-point basket by Toledo's A.J.
