RICHMOND, Va. -- Darien Brothers led Richmond in scoring for the second straight game as the Spiders manhandled UNC Wilmington 101-58 Tuesday night in a nonconference game.
Brothers netted 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 3 of 6 from beyond the arc, in just 20 minutes of action.
The Spiders opened the game up early in the first half, using a 13-0 run to build a 22-10 lead that never shrunk smaller than seven points.
Richmond is 2-0 for the third straight season.
Keith Rendleman led the Seahawks (1-1) with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
UNC Wilmington shot 32.1 percent (18 of 56) to Richmond's 58.2 percent (32 of 55), and the Spiders led 21-4 in fast-break points.
