BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Anthony Ireland scored 26 points to lead Loyola Marymount to a 76-73 win over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday night.
Ireland also had a team-high nine rebounds and seven assists. Three other players scored in double figures. Chase Flint had 12 points and Ashley Hamilton and Nick Stover each had 10 for the Lions (2-1).
Loyola Marymount led 39-35 at halftime.
Cal State Bakersfield shot 26 of 52 from the field.
The Roadrunners, a Division I independent, will join the Western Athletic Conference next season.
