Oral Roberts 75, Loyola Marymount 66

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Warren Niles scored 33 points and Oral Roberts beat Loyola Marymount 75-66 Thursday night in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout.

Niles was 11 of 15 from the field, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, for the Golden Eagles (3-1). He made all six of his free-throw attempts. Damen Bell-Holter added 13 points and eight rebounds for Oral Roberts, and Steven Roundtree contributed 10 points.

Anthony Ireland led the Lions (2-2) with 30 points, making 4 of 5 shots behind the arc. Ashley Hamilton scored 15 points and Ayodeji Egbeyemi added 10 points for LMU.

ORU led 30-27 and built a lead as big as 18 points before Loyola Marymount closed in. The Golden Eagles shot 52 percent from the field -- 64 percent in the second half.
