JONESBORO, Ark. -- Ed Townsel scored 27 points and Arkansas State rolled to a 93-53 win over Lamar on Sunday.
Townsel made six of his nine attempts from 3-point range for the Red Wolves (4-1), who have won four in a row.
Marcus Hooten scored 17 points for the Red Wolves. Raeford Worsham scored 13 and Brandon Peterson added 12 points, three blocked shots and 13 rebounds. Arkansas State owned a 49-26 advantage on the boards.
Arkansas State led 33-21 at halftime, then blew the game open with a 19-2 run to start the second half.
Stan Brown led the Cardinals (1-5) with 10 points. Brown scored the first basket of the game for Lamar's only lead. Arkansas State scored the next seven points.
