JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Maurice Watson Jr. scored 21 points, recorded seven assist and had four steals to lead Boston University past St. Peter's 74-66 Saturday in nonconference action.
Trailing 37-19 at halftime, St. Peter's (3-4) opened the second half on a 33-17 run and pulled within two, 54-52, after Desi Washington's 3-pointer with 7:43 left to play.
That was the closest the St. Peter's would get as Boston (2-5) outscored the Peacocks 18-14 the rest of the way to hold on for the win.
Just five players scored for St. Peter's but four hit double figures. Washington led the Peacocks with 32 points on 6-of-12 3-point shooting.
