SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Warren Niles scored 21 points and Oral Roberts opened up a big lead right away in cruising to a 72-52 win over Missouri State Saturday.
Christian Kirk scored the first basket of the game for Missouri State, but the Golden Eagles scored the next 19 points. The Bears didn't score again until 8:55 remained in the half and ORU led 40-15 at the break. Missouri State shot 20 percent in the first half and 30 percent in the game. The Golden Eagles shot 52 percent in the game.
Anthony Downing led the Bears (2-5) with 18 points. Kirk had 10 points and eight rebounds before fouling out.
