LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- John Gillon scored 17 points to lead UALR to a 91-30 rout of St. Gregory's on Tuesday in an exhibition game for the Cavs.
Gillon was 6 of 9 from the field and was one of four Trojans scoring in double figures. Kemy Osse added 16 points. Stetson Billings had 13 and Michael Javes had 11 points and led the team in rebounds with seven.
UALR (7-3) led 46-13 at halftime. The Trojans shot 55 percent from the field for the game and had 13 steals.
St. Gregory's (6-3), an NAIA school, made 12 of 51 shots (23.5 percent) from the field and made 24 turnovers.
With the win, UALR remains perfect at home (6-0).
There's nothing to suggest the Jayhawks won't end up atop the Big 12 for a 13th season in a row. But what about a return to the Final Four?
Colorado State graduate transfer John Gillon has chosen Syracuse, giving the Orange a potential starter at point guard entering the 2016-17 season.
DeSean Murray, who averaged 20.2 points as a sophomore at Presbyterian, will transfer to Auburn to play for coach Bruce Pearl.
